1056220 I read Downward Death by Stella Bixby. A little bit mystery, a little bit paranormal, and a lot of feel good in this small town read.

1056220 I read Day One by Kelly DeVos, which is the second part of a duology...I read the first part, Day Zero earlier this year. It was the story of a bunch of teens who found themselves in the middle of apocalyptic situation. I thought it was pretty good, stretched reality a lot but power in youth themed. Oddly timely. This book wasn't as tightly written as first IMO, so holes appear.

1056220 Keyword I selected was school. The Haunting of Thackery School by Skylar Finn. It was listed as horror, but thought paranormal thriller may be more accurate, and I definitely enjoyed it.

1056220 For July I read Still Waters by Viveca Sten...just noticed I didn't report my reads in July. The story is good, and I found her descriptions of the Swedish islands very appealing, want to add to bucket list, though probably could do without the murder if visiting.

1056220 Book: When you are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris.

I enjoyed the book and really found his writing style kept the pages turning easily. Although maybe not exactly my humor, I did experience some snort out loud moments, and leaving a mental note to check out other books he wrote.

1056220 Keyword: Sorry

I read Say You're Sorry by Melinda Leigh. I really enjoyed the characters in the book. It wasn't really a deep mystery but was a quick read, and it wasn't really an obvious ending at least for me!

1056220 I read Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell. The cover has a troubled looking young face and you will likely feel troubled as well as you read this book. It is about a 15 year old girl who is in a relationship with her much older teacher, that spans many iteration for decades, and "Reflections" after it has ended.

Be ready for an emotional and dark experience if you pick this up.

1056220 Keyword - Dark

And what a dark book Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell is! I had to buddy read another book, that was lighthearted in order to modulate the darkness this books pages leaves behind. I do recommend the book, but it is an emotionally hard book to get through.

1056220 I picked Rogue Justice by Stacey Abrams.

It continues Avery Keene and groups quest to be in the middle of every save the world from corporate and government greed and doom situation.

It was a well written read. I didn't think it was anywhere as good as the first one, but still able to keep my interest until the end. There where holes, mostly on tech side. Not thrilled with ending. Still a good read for those looking for a story starring the government.

1056220 Keyword - Never

I read Never Buried by Edie Claire. I thought it was a pretty good story and a fast read. I don't know that I would see these characters as a continuing series... Maybe?

1056220 Picking a classic... trying to make sure I get a couple of those a year. Arabian Nights.

Completed... long, challenging read. Glad I read it though would probably opted for slower read as secondary book, reading to finish for month with its writing style was challenging to say the least.

1056220 I am reading “The Last House on Needless Street”. Trying some horror, we’ll see how this goes, starting at 11:00 pm probably wasn’t best idea!

I finished it. It was a very good read, the less said about it, the better the experience for someone reading it... will leave it at that.
