Read a book with a 'dark' story OR read a book with a mostly black cover. "Dark" is up to interpretation. This could be dark academia, horror, difficult subject matters, creepy settings, books that take place at night, etc.

1056220 This month I read What Have You Done? by Shari Lapena. What Have You Done? by Shari Lapena Lapena is always a solid mystery read for me and this one was no different. I read through it pretty fast and gave it 4stars.
