Checking in with you! I kicked off the October ReadAThon yesterday with 2 hours, planning for more than that today. Reed, we have sprints and ReadAThons going on other platforms as well, message me for links! The sprints on here are also fun, I saw that you joined 🙌🏿I will check back soon❣️
Reed wrote: "My book goal is to read 45 to 100 books before I get new books to read"Then a ReadAThon is a perfect way to kick that off, whoo hoo!
What is your goal to finish those books? My goal is to finish The Other Black Girl by Saturday; I have 220 pages remaining, and it is light. I am also reading and listening to the third Game of Thrones book, but that is more for some points during concurrent ReadAThons.
Katrin wrote: "That is so true, Shareen thank you for reminding me. I still keep up reading as good as I can. I am in the middle of the last book of the Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder. It feels stran..."You will never forget THAT, awwww!
Sparkly wrote: "Hey!! Things are starting to open up here but my work is still closed for a couple of weeks. I just got 2 new advanced copy books and I have my dog so I should be alright till then"Yup, Dogs and Books, lol. Add some water and coffee, and you are super set.
Kat wrote: "Hey how is everyone doing? I know the world is a little crazy right now and I hope everyone is okay. How are things going in your area due to corona? By me, things are just starting to open up."HELLO! I miss all of you, I am hardly reading! Not much progress with stopping COVID spread out here, but work is coming around, as are very cautious stores and services. Many folded. The big think out here right now is the Protests and Riots, I am in the heart of it!
Sparkly wrote: "Hey! It's been a couple of days since I last checked in here how is everyone doing? To answer my question I'm doing well I had a surgery that has made my life so much easier but I can't work with m..."Congrats on the successful surgery! I have been totally checked out, but I sure miss my Goodreads Family!
Thank you about the Do! And do not belittle your very real struggles! We have ALL been affected! The great thing, is we are all still HERE🙏🏾
I meant Do Message, or DM me. From the app, it looks like I said something else, and I burst out laughing😂
Katrin wrote: "Thank you so much for your support, Kat and Shareen. That made me feel better."Heavens, YES! We are here to support. I work for myself, and NOTHING is coming in; this has been a safe place from all that uncertainty. I have three kids in college, and a 9 year-old. I am the sole provider. So, yes, even if I could find a paycheck job for when work is available, I have the little one at home. I SO GET IT, but there are still many blessings contained therein. Do message me any time, xo.
Katrin wrote: "Actually I don't know how much I will be reading in May because I might have to get back to work although my son is still at home. That worries me, so I guess I will resort to comfort reads"Yes on stressful. YES ON COMFORT.
Thanks for the May Headline! Yes!I read Ninth House when it was released, but did not think either way of the author until I read Six of Crows. I love that book, and am planning to read it for May. My eldest is now reading Ninth House, she really wants to try it.
I have TEN books planned for May, but my schedule could change in the next couple weeks. My other, serious May goal is to get back to who I am and how I am with the WORKOUTS. Everything else seems to be where I have wanted it, and I thank being home for getting all that going again.
My parents live 6 miles from me, I would love to be stuck with them, haha, but I make them nuts; I also have four kids in tow, although three are in college.
Indiana (saw in the notifications of your other posts): Hoosier? Notre Dame? I think those are there...
Not late, and welcome! Where in the States are you? I am in Los Angeles. We are not going anywhere for a while, lol.
