I don't have a lot of time for trying to get conversations going so would anyone else like to add a bit of life around here?

I read the first chapter last night. It's very different - from everything I've read before. I get the feeling it's not for the fainthearted so I should be fine with it. Have you read it?

I've recently regained my fiction reading habit after neglecting it for a long time (too much factual and business reading an no fun) and have asked my daughter for recommendations. The last book I read was emotionally tough so this time I wanted something lighter. I'm just surprised I've never read this one before.

I found it a bit slow to get started, so I was slow to get stuck in. Now I'm up to p94 I'm finding I want to know what happens next. I fear it may take a turn for the farcical (it is intended to be mildly comical), in which case I shall be looking forward to finishing it and moving on. But we'll see.
