Right now I'm reading the Perks of Being a Wallflower, which a BUNCH of students and teachers have told me is one of the most unforgettable YA books they've ever read. At this point my favorite YA is still Eleanor & Park, which I read years ago. Still can't beat it! What are the YA books that you think people will still be reading in 10 years?
Oh no...I'm finding myself having a hard time with Perks of Being a Wallflower too in the middle. Who else has read it? Is it worth powering through?

Tara, do you get a lot of ARCs?
I just finished LaRose by Louise Erdrich, who is one of my favorite authors. But this particular book just felt kind of blah to me, although it is incredibly powerful and sad in places. There was just a lot going on, and it didn't feel like every story needed to be there. This is now the most recent book in a string of reads I haven't been crazy about. So I'm changing course, and am going to read something students at East have been telling me I really, really need to read for a long time. What kind of high school librarian has never before read The Perks of Being a Wallflower?!? It is time, people, it is time.
