109368 I really love cats (and I have an amazing one :D ), but I'm pretty sure I'd bring an owl to Hogwarts.

109368 Ok, let the discussion begin then! :D

How did you meet Harry? How often do you read the books or listen to them? Do you also collect HP related stuff? Do you write Potter fan fics? Have you converted others?

My first encounter with Harry was when the second movie was launched. I liked it, but, as I hadn't seen the first one, I wasn't much attracted to the story. I considered it "nice, but for small kids".
I paid for my silliness a few years later, when a very good friend asked me if I read it.
"No, of course not! It's for small kids! And, anyway, I don't know anybody who has it."
"I do! It's really great!"
And so it all started with me trying to prove that I wasn't prejudiced.
It was simple: I read the first few lines and I fell in love.

Before the six book came out, I started writing a Potter story with my friend (our characters were colleagues with James, Sirius & co). After a year or two, I decided to start the second edition, as the first story wasn't good enough. :D

In the meantime, I became a Hogwarts nerd. I've been listening to the audio books on a monthly basis (sometimes even more often) for years, so I can really say that I almost know them by heart.

I'm not into collecting Potter stuff, though I bought a time turner seven years ago. I wish I had a real one. :D

109368 “There is a room in the Department of Mysteries, that is kept locked at all times. It contains a force that is at once more wonderful and more terrible than death, than human intelligence, than forces of nature. It is also, perhaps, the most mysterious of the many subjects for study that reside there. It is the power held within that room that you possess in such quantities and which Voldemort has not at all. That power took you to save Sirius tonight. That power also saved you from possession by Voldemort, because he could not bear to reside in a body so full of the force he detests. In the end, it mattered not that you could not close your mind. It was your heart that saved you.” (Dumbledore)

109368 My VERY favourites are Dumbledore, Harry and Snape. Then come Minerva, Dobby, Hagrid, Mad-Eye...

Oh dear, I miss them again (though I listen to the audio books almost every month)! :D
