1094771 ha! ok. So no one ready for this? Maybe it's just not the right time since Covid19 makes our lives so scattered and unpredictable. Love to you all! Let me know if you read the book and want to talk about it :)

1094771 hi, all :) Is July still good to meet about this book selection? Just checking in!

1094771 How long do you need to read The Martian Chronicles? This book is relatively short but of course, that's subjective.

Also, who has a Zoom account? Or do you have other suggestions for meeting platforms?

1094771 ok, I think we have our book selection. Now to comb through Brandon's book shelves to find his copy :) I dwindled down my books long ago and have only one shelf now.

1094771 ok so we have a vote for Martian Chronicles or Native Son.

Anyone have links to either of those books? For one, if you start a free 30-day trial on scribd.com, you can have access to tons of books...but only during that free trial. LOL

1094771 On FB, I asked if we should do only books everyone could easily find online. Christine suggested classics, if we go that route, because those would be easier to access. So I made a few suggestions for classics:
Native Son
Things Fall Apart
Sometimes a Great Notion
Woman in the Dunes
Orlando
Martian Chronicles

Terry added some suggestions:
The Night Circus
The Starless Sea
Dante's Garden (yes!)
Geek Love
Lewis Carroll bio
