I also read this a while ago. I recall the writing being quite beautiful and I loved the mystery. I wasn't a fan of the ending or even the last few chapters but the first part of the book was engaging (minus how obvious the murder was; yet, how it didn't quite add up based on this).

Overall, however, great suspense and scenery that really out the reader in the setting. I've heard nothing but good reviews about the movie, this might be in the top five movies that had a good adaptation!

I will give this a try!
