A bit late on my reply but yes. Mine would be "Edward Abbey-an Interview at Pack Creek Ranch" published by Vinegar Tom Press in 1991. Co-authored with Lyman Hafen.
Yes folks, I finally decided to pare down my extensive Abbey library and Back of Beyond Books in Moab, Utah has about 50 of my signed Abbey 1st editions now for sale. You can get with Andy if you are interested.http://www.backofbeyondbooks.com/

OK, so I am the guy who started this post and am a co- author of "Edward Abbey: An Interview at Pack Creek Ranch" published by Vinegar Tom Press (1991)Great insight into Ed as a man.
House of Rain by Childs is one really good read and gives a more clear picture of where and why the Anasazi went. Takes most of the "disappearing act" away from them.
Childs is one of the new "best" nature writers. He has years to go before becoming a good comparison to Ed. Ed was a funny guy... his humor is what originally attracted most of his fans. After a few reads of his work one finds a solid core of strength and belief. Ed was who he was, Open and Full of Emotion for what he regarded as simply precious.... Nature.

I took Jack and his daughter Celestia on a river trip back in 93. Fine folk.
For all those who missed it the Matter Journal based in Fort Collins, Colorado and published by Wolverine Farm Publishing dedicated their Volume 13 to Ed. My photos are on the front and back covers plus more inside. You can order one through them at http://www.wolverinefarm.org/publishi...Todd and his crew will take care of you.
Great publication with Ed at its center, front, and back cover [my photos by the way]. A must for any serious Abbey reader. Extreme thanks to Todd and his crew at Wolverine Farm Publishing in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Abbey didn't write a screen play. It was written by ILANA BARDIN in 1993, then trashed for another writer. Several versions have surfaced since including the one currently being used. It does not do justice to the book.

Credible sources say it is underway. Problem is always $. I understand they are trying to shoot it on a real low budget. I would rather they wait and do it right.
