FINALLY FINISHED! 3 months too late.
I really enjoyed this and hated that it took me so long to get through and I think it would have been really great to digest this in just a few sittings. Anyway - my final review -
A powerful and wholly-entertaining debut! Fear, dread, monsters and death. A adrenaline driven post-apocalyptic journey though an unknown catastrophe that surrounds you with fear of the unknown. Jurassic-park meets Pitch Black. (and almost a 'Terran vs Zerg' matchup in there for those who get the reference.)
I really loved the pacing and the alternating timelines and POVs and the way they intersected. The mystery of the characters as we dove in with little background. The fear of the outside world as well as the fear of the minds whom you cannot crack.
I was really taken for a grin at the ending and literally laughed and clapped at the ending as i applauded the author for the surprise, the ride, and the characters.
This would make a great film as the pace and action were constant and kept me coming back.

Steffany wrote: "hey you guys! Is there a specific date when we are going to begin the read?"Hi Steff - I'm probably not going to start it until the beginning of the month to finish up my current read. It'll probably take me a few weeks to get through it all.
But you can feel free to start earlier if you'd like!
It’s heeeeeeeere!! It’s so beautiful! ...Oh damn can you post a photo in these comments!! Haha. I’ll post it on twitter.
Hi everyone! I'm Scott! Host of the youtube channel Book Invasion (https://www.youtube.com/c/bookinvasion) where I review Sci-Fi, Horror, and Fantasy. I'm a husband and father of 2 boys. I live in Arizona where it's about 112-114 degrees all week and i hate it. I recently read/listened (audiobook) The Only Good Indians and really enjoyed it. The shock value was great at some of those moments.
I'll warn you that i read physical books really slowly because of home life (like mayyybe 30 pages a day if i really focus and I'm not able to read every day) so please forgive me if I don't keep up.
Hi everyone! Lets take this space to get to know each other and share some info / social links / Fav recent reads / other miscellaneous stuff!
