1115614 Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mount Everest Disaster Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mount Everest Disaster by Jon Krakauer

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Book into thin air written by Jon Krakauer is about his own adventure / experience with climbing Mount Everest. I would rate this book a 4/5t because it was very engaging and had many good parts throughout the book that made you just want to keep reading and not stop. I decided to read this book because I have been seeing this book around the internet and many people who I am in class with have read this book. The story of the whole book was intriguing for the majority of the book. The beginning gave good information that you needed to go throughout the story without that I feel as if the book would have been quite confusing.

1115614 Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of NIKE Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of NIKE by Phil Knight

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Book shoe dog is about the start-up of Phil Knight's business Nike. It is about his start from being a nobody out of Stanford and climbing his way up the ranks of shoe popularity so to say.

The thing that drew me to the book is that many people said it was a really good book and since I saw it laying around the house, I decided that this was going to be the book I was going to read. It starts off in the mind of young Phil Knight going on a run thinking about the shoe project he did in Stanford business school. it brought him to the conclusion of making his way to place around the world trying to make some cash with a friend. Eventually, his friend left him and he was on his own and at that point, he decided he had to go all-in if he wanted to get his idea across. so he booked a flight to Japan to try and start a business with one of the biggest and wealthiest people in the world. They give him the shoes after months of wait and he starts selling them and giving samples to people he used to know. While he is selling shoes and gets his first friend as an employee they realize that this isn't going to be a super easy job and there are going to be a lot of difficulties along the way.

This book is a really good read. There aren't too many slow points in the books. The slowest part would have to be the beginning but other than that I would say that this book was a really fun read that I could actually read for hours on end.

I would give this book a 4/5 because I really enjoyed it!
