1115614 I Am Number Four (Lorien Legacies, #1) I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

this book is about a fifteen year old boy named john. he is part of a group of 10 kids and their respective guardians. the reason they are on earth is because their planet, lorien, is attacked. they are being hunted down by the rivaling mogadorians. the 10 kids can only be killed one by one counting down from 10. the first six are killed and john smith is next up. him and his guardian, henry are forced to be on the run almost constantly while also trying to live a somewhat normal life and blend in with the crowd. he also has to train and discover all of his powers. i like this book because it was unpredictable and their was suspense at times but not too much that its routine. however, this book also has minuses, one of them being that the start is a bit slow. another thing i didn't like was that they didn't talk more about their former planet, lorien. i suggest this book if you like science fiction or action packed books.

1115614 Ready Player One (Ready Player One, #1) Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I decided to rate this book a 3/5 stars because i liked it but it wasn't perfect. this book is about a boy named wade who lives in 2045, the world is in shambles and he doesn't have a very good life at all. in the book there is a VR world called "OASIS" it is basically a perfect world that millions of people including wade use to escape their daily lives. basically what happens next is the very rich and famous creater of OASIS dies and this kickstarts the hunt for all of his money that he said he buried somewhere in the game. wade and players from all around the world are searching for his treasure. one thing i liked about the book was that anyone could find the treasure and become rich, the thought of this wealth was enough to make millions of people around the world devote their lives to finding the treasure. one thing i didnt like about the book was that the beginning was a bit boring at times. i think you would enjoy this book if you enjoy sci-fi, adventures, or like books about dystopias.
