111993 Over the next week I am putting together a list of books for Fiction that have a "hero" in them. In what you've read over the last year, what characters have been a Hero(ine) for you (and what books do they spring from)???

Need title suggestions by Jan 29th!

111993 Seems nobody wants to discuss this book. I'm having the Hardest. Time. Ever. trying to find discussion questions for tonight.
111993 Finished earlier this week - agree with you about schmaltzy. Feels like this was a "second chance for everyone!" Kind of book.

I listened to the audio and the narrator drove me nuts. He read so deliberately slow and dramatically that it made the book feel dragged out. Also had a hard time remembering Fikry's nationality.

Felt like the book tried to be complex, but was written very simply. I imagine it would have been a faster read for that.all in all, it was ok.
