Glad to have you introduced to the series. IMO, Redwall is his weakest book. They only get stronger as the series goes on. Salamandastron is particularly strong. I feel it was one of the last that weren’t polished to perfection. That being said, the later books still have a lot to offer.
You should read Mattimeo. It’s a direct sequel to Redwall and much better than Redwall. Not as good as Mossflower, though.
While it’s not my favorite, I was impressed by Doomwyte. Jacques didn’t ever try to add a magic system into his books, (for good reason) but it’s awesome to see how that might have played out if he had. Doomwyte might have been a good place to start. (No magic, but there is illusion.)
The DVDs are expensive, but I remember finding it online to stream somewhere a handful of years back. No promises it’s still out there tho.
Can’t say as I do. Though I haven’t had to take an unwanted elective in over a decade. TPBM needs a Kit Kat.
Me too. I was hoping to at some point, and then he passed away. :/ I’ve had to settle with signed books. Buh.
Nice to meet you, Patricia! That’s a really interesting story. Ive been reading for about 19 years myself. 🙃
Am Sam. I read/write, tutor, and own an online shop. Busy schedule usually, so I’ll try to join in where I can. Spirit animals are: sea turtle, brown bear, and preying mantis.
