Zak Bates considers himself pretty normal for a thirteen year old. Okay, he does own a zoo and believes beyond a shadow of a doubt that theres magic in the world, but other than that, hes pretty average. But when hes visited by Ra-Kit, a magic cat with a bad catnip habit whos on a life or death mission, he is ill-prepared for the assignment she blackmails him to accept.

He must represent the Animal Kingdom before the United Nations' Conference on Global Warming. Zak, with help from Ra-Kit and Sampson, Ra-Kit's flying canine companion, must persuade the world governments to stop poisoning the planet or face a global rebellion of animals that could cost millions of lives on both sides, and throw the world into irreversible chaos.
