1143685 Hey there! Just starting a project and looking for some thoughts. PM me if you're interested in the history/lead-in for the world. This is really only a blurb (pre-blurb?) since I haven't actually written the book part of the book yet.

"Finley is the son of a Matron. What does that mean? Basically nothing. In a completely matriarchal society, men are the menial servants of Fathrel--good for cleaning, cooking, dying in building projects, and fathering the children of the women too consumed with power and the Singed to allow such base tasks to burden their time.

Who are the Singed? They’re another story entirely. Or at least, a very obscure story that no one seems to know anything about, save that they are the last threat to women in power—a society lead by men. Men who serve as leaders with their wives and children, guiding their small culture as best they can in a shrinking world where the three Matrons are closing in on the only remaining people faithful to the Lore.

But when Finley is sent, ordered by his newly appointed Matron sister, to find the Singed with another Matron’s daughter, he has no idea the secrets he’ll uncover about the carefully crafted web of lies the Matrons have weaved since the days before there were cities… before the Hoydens. What small courage remains in the heart of this man, born into passivity and service, will be greatly tested as he deals with an embittered companion with secrets of her own, a spy from the Singed who is supposedly leading them to the Singed, and wildly aggressive desert dogs that want to rip his limbs off.

Not to mention the fact that his sister only sent him on this mission to get rid of him…"

1143685 Hey there! Just starting a project actually and hoping to get some feedback for a new adult fantasy I’ll be writing soon. I have the world built, the characters in mind, and the lead-in for the story, so if you’re wanting more than what's here, please PM me about it! Still, here goes…

Finley is the son of a Matron.

Let me know what you think of the idea in general, or anything else that comes to mind! Thank you
