I enjoyed reading this. It will definitely be appealing to those who have read similar books where 2 sick kids fall in love or watched movies about them. I enjoyed it and think it’s a contender for the list. 5/5
I really liked this book. The concept of getting a scholarship for homecoming Queen was interesting. I loved how her friends helped her throughout the book. 5/5
I liked this book. It definitely had several twists and turns and mysteries. It shows how even the strongest of people can be easily manipulated, and it shows the dangers of cults. I’m not sure I’d put it on the list, but it was a good read. 4/5

This is another great nonfiction piece. So many students tend to write about abortion for their argumentative essays at some point in their schooling. I feel like this book is about a topic many teens show interest in, and I like that it compiles facts for them. I think it should be on the bookshelves of libraries across the state even if it doesn’t make the cut. 5/5
I really hope this one makes the list!! This nonfiction piece was POWERFUL!! This author sharing their journey with the gender identity is timely and very important. I think reading this book will help students see things from a perspective they’ve never thought of or one they themselves are struggling with. 5/5
I enjoyed this book. I read it before school let out, and I honestly don’t remember too many details which isn’t the sign of a memorable book. However, I do remember liking it more than the last book I had read by her and not as much as the first book I read by her. 4/5
I honestly don’t know how Tiffany Jackson does this to me every time, but she always has those twists at the end that I don’t see coming!! This book was so good. Very well written. I can see how the topic could be triggering to some people though, but I also think it might help students realize, hey maybe it’s weird this person a lot older than me wants to date me. Definitely a 5/5 from me!
I loved this book. It made me want to read The Hate You Give all over again. I absolutely think it should make the list. It was neat to see what grownups from one story be teens in another. I think that helps remind us we were all kids once, and no one just gets where they are over night. 5/5
I really enjoyed the journey this book takes the reader on. I feel like it covers grief very well, and even shows how sometimes when we lose a loved one, we find out about Secrets they had which isn’t always a bad thing! 5/5
I really enjoyed this book. It was definitely my favorite book I read in the fantasy genre on this list. I don’t really have any complaints about it, and I like that the ending is open enough where the author can choose to write more books if they want. 5/5
Amazing non-fiction piece! It covers so many important topics. I certainly hope it makes the list!! 5/5
What annoyed me most about this book is the fact it was all backstory leading up to the real story which took place in book 2. Yes, I read book 2 because I wanted to know what happened, but I was not a fan of this book. 2/5
Can’t wait for book 2!! This was hands down one of my favorites on both lists!! I definitely think it should make the list! 5/5
I pushed through this book, but I did not enjoy it. The beginning was confusing, there were parts I did like, but overall due to the flow being confusing in the beginning nether fact this book seemed to drag on forever, I did not like this one. 2/5
I loved this book and felt like it had a powerful message behind it of gun safety. I definitely hope it will make the final list. 5/5
