Is middleton like the Varsity captain ? is he really good friends with Mick and drew ?

In the book "Who I'm Not" Danny(Not his real name) is trying to persuade his new family, that he really is danny, their child that was abducted, because he wants to live a good life, withought problems. Hes trying to start fresh.

I think Jonas should just wait for his Chief Officer because he would get in trouble for leaving the prisoners by themselfes
