In my book, there was a person giving riddles and one the main characters, said that they were not riddles just stupid facts. The riddle giver got angry and tried to kill the character. So the character tried to persuade but it did not work. They tried to use pathos to make the riddle giver feel stupid. In the end it did not work.
My main character goes to the hoover dam and finds trouble. It was interesting because the author explained it well. He explained it well because he used descriptive words. On the other side, the dam dropped away like the world's most dangerous skateboard ramp, down to the river seven hundred feet below, and water that churned from the dam's vents.
