I have been witness about this on some relationships but how they say if he really loved her he would not pressure her to do something she does not want.

The persuasive thing that is happening in my book is how Lu gets convinced by everyone to do something she does not want to by asking a boy to dance when she knew he would say no.

I think that Lu should not have asked Mac to dance with her because he said no and that would have been a really big embarrassment to be able to look at him again

In the book the sky is everywhere the cause that made that Lennie and Joe broke up was because Joe found her kissing another boy in their back yard.
