I thought I would add a comment just to let you know that I saw it. In my experience, Goodreads is mostly a black hole.
Sheldon, is your book only available through Amazon? If you are independently published would it be faster, and better for you, if I bought directly from the printer? My books are printed by lulu.com and that works well for me.
Very noble! All dog lovers can agree with you, even if German Shepherds are not their preferred breed. Mine is Standard Poodle. I’ve written two books about my Standards. So I can identify with you. I will investigate your book.
Doug Jordan.
‪Just spent >four hours reworking a 4K word chapter of The Hallelujah Chorus. Some writers will spend weeks worrying one paragraph. Where do they get the patience and stamina?‬
I'll look into it. Like you, I've written a book about my dog and now putting the finishing touches to the sequel. Memoirs about our dogs are at least as much about ourselves as they are of the dog.
This is a sequel to The Maxim Chronicles, my 'memoir' about our black Standard Poodle who came to us as a 2-year old teenager and learned accept us as his family. Hallelujah is his half sister, a white Standard Poodle who worms her way into the family too. Almost finished the first draft (!?). Hope to see this one published mid year (2017).
This easy to read memoir tells the story of a Standard Poodle who returns to Canada from Israel and learns to love his new family. The Jordans eventually prepare him for dog shows until he becomes a Canadian Champion. Full of humour and information about Poodles, the book serves to educate as well as to entertain. I must check it out. Books about dogs are alimony always books about life and relationships. Check out mine: The Maxim Chronicles. And I'm working on a sequel.
