I’m Liz. I live in Western Australia. This is my first time reading A Picture of Dorian Gray, or reading any Oscar Wilde, although I remember enjoying a film adaptation of it many years ago and Ioved the film of The Importance of being Earnest. Of course Dorian Gray is a bit of a cultural icon and appears as a character in other things, Penny Dreadful for instance. For Victober, I just finished Wuthering Heights and plan on reading The Hound of the Baskerville (although it technically misses out on being Victorian by a year), and The Eye of the Rook by Josephine Taylor which is partly set in Victorian London.
This is my first Oscar Wilde and I’m loving his writing style. It’s quite a breathe of fresh air after reading Wuthering Heights!
