1174430 Guess I'll have a lot to catch up on and work on, won't I. Don't want to let you down with what I'm supposed to be doing with Redacted.

1174430 Thanks Tristan. I'll be doing more work here pretty soon. This last week was bad for me, I was battling some type of stomach bug so I didn't get much of anything done. Have a great Halloween with your family.

1174430 I have no problem with it Sassy, but from a sort of editor's pov, read it over to yourself. I think there are several areas that need a little work to make it better.

1174430 What are your plans for Halloween? Going to a haunted house, a corn maze or maybe a pumpkin patch? Here's a place to let everyone know and tell us how much fun you had or have.
Plus is anyone interested in doing a Halloween card exchange, possibly next year, I think it's to late for one this year.
Have a spooktackular Halloween everyone.

1174430 Hi lily, glad to have you join us. Don't worry much about navigating the platform. The groups are the easiest. I have been with goodreads for many years and it's what I have problems with lol. If you need help here, just send me a message here or at lady.karas@gmail.com

1174430 This month's book of the month is closed. Nobody but me offered up a idea for a book to read plus no one wanted to join me in the book I thought would be good. See you next month and see if anyone is interested.

1174430 My thoughts on a book would be
Slaughter Lake, it just came out not too long ago, and it sounds like a good Halloween read.

1174430 This month, since I started this late: (, let's have the first week to list a Halloween themed book to read. Such things as Witch's, Vampires, Haunted Houses. The vote will be done on October 6th and then we can begin the read on the 7th. Let's find some good spooky books to read and please nothing you just read for another group. I would love to have more than 3 people in our group read.
Let's have a spooky good time.

1174430 Hi whoever has joined with the reading of Colony by Benjamin Cross.
I'm up to 15% just a bit slow with my reading lately. I like the inner story between the main character and his son. It makes me wonder if the author when he was doing archeology if this was something he experienced in real life.

1174430 I just finished Man's Best Friend. I wrote a review of it and posted it if anyone is interested. It's a quick read at 70 pages and not for the faint at heart. It deals a lot with fetishism and is quite graphic in nature. So you have been warned.

1174430 I've pulled Colony back up on my kindle and will start reading it tomorrow. How does 10% a day sound Tristan? We can do more if you want, just let me know the percentage that works best for you.

1174430 I'm going to be reading Man's Best Friend by Justin Boote, J. Boote if anyone cares to join me.

1174430 Then we need to add more suspenseful and possibly graphic scenes to the book. Which is what I'm doing starting back at the beginning.
Aug 31, 2022 03:29PM

1174430 No, the violence is tame compared to other extreme horror I've read. It's not graphic enough. I can give you some names of other authors besides Matt Shaw or you can do a Amazon search looking up extreme horror books or authors. That's how I found many of them. Let me know if you want me to send you a list of books/authors Tristan. Even Stephen King books have a hard time compared to a few other authors I've read in extreme horror. If you want I'll take the first murder scene in Redacted and in Redacted notes write it up with some of what I would consider a extreme horror scene. Let me know.
Aug 31, 2022 03:17PM

1174430 I will also.
Aug 30, 2022 06:38PM

1174430 I'll have to look into it....lol. I haven't been watching much on HBO max.

1174430 This is the time for voting but no books have been listed so September's extreme horror book read is closed. I will list a extreme horror read for October, any books put up for voting on must be Halloween themed extreme horror.
Aug 30, 2022 06:32PM

1174430 The only book listed for this month is Colony by Benjamin Cross,so that will be the September book of the Month read. Please let me know who will be participating and if you need extra time to get the book. If no one is then I will start the October Book of the Month at the end of September. October's Book of the Month must be Halloween themed, so give it some thought, okay.

1174430 I broke your force field whilst standing next to it. Grabbed it and used my invisibility cloak to hide the trophy and myself and make it to the finish line
I win!!
New race anyone?
