1176148 I am a little late with my update. I read fewer books in September, but my page count is around normal because I was reading longer books. My favorite book of the month was a reread: Golden Fool. These books are just as wonderful the second time through. I finished a few challenges this month also, so that should free me up to focus on the more neglected ones.

1176148 I am slightly late updating, but things have been super busy. My good month of reading continued all through June. The extra driving time for work helped me get several audiobooks read, and I was reading e-books and physical books in the evenings to relax. I have a few neglected goals, but otherwise I am doing great.

1. 62/100 books
2. 28/40 series books, 3 in progress

I really am. By the end of June, I had finished 28! I may have set that goal a little low, but that's okay with me.

1176148 Karol wrote: "That's a lot of reading! I love all your stats . . . especially average pages read month by month. I think mine might be somewhere around 50 or 60, but maybe I should keep track for a while."

I was already keeping track of pages read, so it was an easy thing to calculate. It makes it easier to see if it is really a slump in reading or just a shorter month when totals decline.

1176148 I finished two novellas on my list: The Wood at Midwinter and The Hermit Next Door. The former was okay, but it had a more religious theme than I anticipated. On the other hand, I loved the Hermit Next Door. It was such a fun story. Hearne, as always, excels at characterization. He is also talented at creating the setting and plot in these shorter tales.

1176148 Alondra wrote: "Yay! Glad you enjoyed it. The books get better with each one. I'm waiting for all the stories to converge."

Me too!

I finished The Moving Finger, which means I have finished 8 books already. This has to be the fastest I have ever gone through my list. I have 3 short ones (under 200 pages) on the list, and I will probably read those soon also. It would be nice to get through all 16 this year (I've never done that). I would like to tackle some of my old ones too, and getting these out of the way quickly makes that more possible.
