I think I have that on my tbr???"Well get to it! :)

So far, I'm actually keeping up with this challenge. Better than last year. :)
I really liked Nobody's Fool. I wasn't sure I wanted another Sami Kierce book, but it turns out I did.
Listen for the Lie was fantastic. I'd been feeling kind of meh about a lot of my mystery/suspense reads lately.
Alondra wrote: "Kudos on knocking out those first 2 books, Denise!! Woot!"Oh Alondra. You are so kind to check in with us. It's keeping me in line. 😂

Holy Tornado Twisters Batman! That was one crazy ride. This book sucked..."Oh, I'm so glad you shared! I have this downloaded and I'd kind of forgotten about it. I'll move it up on the list.

Oh no! That's on my list also. :-)"She could've come up with ten more pages if she set her mind to it. 😂

Seriously,
The God of the Woods?? 490 pages?? 😂

Well...I'm not sure about this one, but I'll try it and see how it goes. Maybe I will surprise myself. :)

Margo's Got Money Troubles was such a surprise. I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting. Maybe something a bit lighter? It had interesting characters with real world problems. There was certainly some humor, but it didn't diminish the issues the characters were facing. I liked it.

I might join you for a few of these or at least follow the discussion if no one minds. I have already read Apples Never Fall, but I would love to jump in to the end of that discussion when you're done.

Thanks for all the assistance here! I have an update. I deleted cookies, logged out of Goodreads, restarted all devices and then logged back in. It definitely did something. My notifications aren't back to the way they were, but I am receiving some again. I am active in several groups, so to go several days with NO notifications felt very off. I think this was progress.
Thanks again for the tips, everyone!
Bill wrote: "I always try to click on the boxes 'Notify me when people comment' and 'Add to my update feed' It seems to help. But I also regularly check the main feeds, the challenges, that sort of thing."Yes, I have done that. I still get nothing. Not even the little bell notification.
Laura wrote: "PS Here’s what she told me about deleting GR cookies - I hope this helps! Unfortunately, I can’t answer any further questions about it bc I haven’t taken the time to do it yet.
“You have to make ..."Thank you for this! I will try it this afternoon. Also, I'm sorry you are also having issues, but I'm glad it's not just me...and not everyone. Maybe we can figure it out.

Mine are working pretty good, but I always check the discussi..."Or maybe I should try doing this from different devices? I'll try that. It can't hurt. Thanks, Alondra.

Mine are working pretty good, but I always check the discussi..."Seriously?! I'm glad to hear that worked for you. I've done that. Maybe eventually my help desk question will get answered and it will work better. This gives me hope. I thought it was this way for everyone.
I think the only notifications I have gotten in 2025 are if someone likes my review. But if it's not this way for everyone, maybe there's hope!

P.S. I'll try to remember to keep coming back to see if anyone comments. Because...no notifications. 🫤

How is everyone managing to keep to with discussions with these new notification changes? I'm wondering if there's a workaround I'm missing. Ever since GR made the change to stop sending automated email notifications, I don't get any at all (or VERY few). I've tried checking the "notify me when people comment" button multiple times. I'm hearing that others are also having issues, so I don't think it's just me, but I'm missing lots of discussion and that's the best part of GR. Any tips for keeping up? Do we think they'll ever fix it?

Love your challenge!
American Born Chinese is currently under attack in our school district. It's so frustrating. And with all of these "school library" book bans, I hope people realize that public libraries are absolutely next. The argument will be (and already has been) that if libraries get government money, the public should get a say in what can be included. Most libraries DO take requests from the public for what to include in the collection, but that's not the same thing as wanting a say in what books everyone else has access to. Anyway...love your challenge.

How is the new villain book so far?

Why do we do this?! I have books that I really want to read that have been on my shelves for years. 🙄
