I'm not published but I do sell vacation packages. Most in our society use price as a measure of value. I would go for the 99 cent for quantity purchases only. Especially just prior to Xmas, it's a great deal.
Last year I bought into a deal where the 99 cent price kicked in when ordering 8 or more copies. This saved on S&H and was a great way to promote that book. I also think it was more respectful of the value of the book - a new book, not used book.
