118730 I've gotten it into my head that I want to read one non-fiction for every fiction book I read this summer...

So right now I'm reading The Girls of Murder City: Fame, Lust, and the Beautiful Killers who Inspired Chicago and After the Armistice Ball

I loved both of those books!!! The Handmaid's Tale definitely has a classic feel to it... such a well written novel with a great story line, and definitely a little meatier!!!

Ready Player One I reccommend to all of my teenage reluctant readers! It's such a great crossover of genres!

118730 I just added 2 books to my "Currently Reading" List.... The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss is my big, probably gonna take a bit, thinker book.

The Weekenders by Mary Kay Andrews is my fun, it's finally sunny, read it on the deck book!

118730 The Neverending Story by Michael Ende

Yup, that was it!!! My copy of Valley of the Dolls has a spilt bottle on the cover... but I haven't been able to find a picture of that on here.

Next up, let's look for a cover with a floating face (like seems to be floating in mid air!)

118730 If you troll the new book lists like we do I'm sure you have some book suggestions for us!!! Let us know what upcoming books you'd like to see in our stacks, we can't make any promises but we will put in a good word!!

I'm personally looking forward to reading The Fireman by Joe Hill... I've been waiting for a new Joe Hill book for awhile!

The Fireman by Joe Hill

118730 I'm going to amend to say Prescription Pill Bottle or Pills, because after some research, I'm not sure Goodreads has the cover edition that I have...

It looks good!"

I've just started the book you recommended to me Amy... The Taxidermist's Daughter... I do love Kate Mosse so I'm very excited to get into it!

118730 There was a great discussion on Sarah Vowell's Assassination Vacation this past Sunday!! Some loved it, some hated it, some were ready to hit the road on their own vacation!!

Our next meeting will be Sunday June 19th at 3pm and we will be reading I Feel Bad about My Neck: And Other Thoughts on Being a Woman by Nora Ephron. There are still copies available at our circulation desk so hurry and grab your copy!!

I haven't read any Dan Brown yet... but we have lots of die hard fans of his! You'll have to let us know what you thought!

118730 I typically find myself with a few "Currently Reading" titles as well as a rather large "To Be Read" (TBR) pile waiting in the wings.

At the recommendation of Goodreads I've just recently started The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend by Katarina Bivald. The description sounded wonderful, but so far I find it slow going...

The recommendation was made to me based on the book Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore which was a fantastic book!! Full of mystery AND book store nerdiness... I'm hoping this current read picks up soon and doesn't disappoint!

118730 Are you reading our current book club choice? What are your thoughts so far of Assassination Vacation by Sarah Vowell ??

Personally I love the humorous way Sarah is able to take a historic topic and give it a whimsical feel! I find that her books are easy to relate to even if you are not an avid non-fiction reader!!!

Another great book of hers to check out is The Wordy Shipmates

118730 This is one of Ms. Sue's and Ms. Whitney's favorites to play on a slow library day!! I'll post an item, to play you find a book cover that has that item and post it in the comments!!

*click add book/author and search for your book, make sure you add: cover (instead of link)

After you have posted your book cover you ask for the next item to look for!!

Let's start off easy and find a book cover with a tea cup on it!
