If I could live in Three Pines, I would move today. The Inspector Gamache series is so so so good, and must be read in order. Louise is so good at character building, they truly feel like your friends. This one ripped my heart out, stomped on it, and then filleted it. I was actually so mad I quit reading the series for a whole year before reading this one. I read it, and then had to read the next one to know if all came out somewhat well.

Highly recommend the Inspector Gamache series. They are billed as cozy mysteries, but they have a razor edge to them.
