Hey everyone!I'm trying my hand at establishing a reading challenge for our group: 2,023 Books in 2023! Go to 'Challenges' to the right of our discussion board. Select "2,023 Books in 2023". Each te you finish an audio, e-Book, or paper book, simply mark as 'Read' and then tap the "2,023 in 2023" button below. Try it and let me know if you can add your items. I think this will be SO fun for this year! Let's do it!!
Ah, hi Lois! I just requested that one on audiobook for the book club. I like to listen to audiobooks while I take long walks or on my drive home each day.
Anyone listening to a book? Favorite podcast? It's so fun to experience literacy through LISTENING.

Here is my current "listen" on my commute home in the late afternoon and when I am walking.Little Fires EverywhereI'm excited to really delve into this story. Celeste Ng is one of my "want to try" authors!
An Arrow to the MoonThis was a very stirring read....Young Adult version of Romeo and Juliet that is steeped in Chinese culture and folklore. SUCH a good book! Light-hearted, yet deep enough to keep me turning the pages.

The Firekeeper’s DaughterI'm really interested in reading about Native, Chinese, and Mexican cultures lately. Young Adult books, primarily.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Lois. I am really surprised that I like The Thorn Birds so much. I definitely find the family dynamics and basic, grass-roots storyline very plausible. The characters are what captivate me the most.

Most often, no.However, I was reading 1984 two years ago, I was not enjoying it at all, but I made myself plow through so I could say I finished this highly-known work.
Oooh, thanks for your information, Lauren. I just saw that it was made into a TV drama, too! I will definitely add it to my "wish list" for upcoming reads!
