I think in that order. 😊"
Wow! Pillars is good but are these your top-3 all-time? Read Notre Dame a long time ago and should put that on my re-read list. Not sure I've read the Aciman book.
Of all the Holmes movies/series, I firmly believe that Jeremy Brett was born to play Holmes. Another brilliant Holmes movie is "Murder By Decree" which has Christopher Plummer playing Holmes and the plot involves Freemasons, which is another organization I am endlessly fascinated by! On the topic of Freemasons, "Born is Blood" is a great read.
LOTR definitely is an all-time fave for me as well. So are pretty much all the works of Agatha Christie, though after watching David Suchet play Poirot, I am partial to the Poirot series more than Miss Marple. The Sherlock Holmes stuff is very close to my heart!
Please post your top three all-time favorite books. "The Hound of the Baskervilles" is definitely in my top three.
