I liked Mordon's dynamic in the story. Defiantly wanting to know more about him. I really can't wait for the next book!

The author did a really good job with this character. I think I would like to hang around him just to be entertained by his arrogance, of course from a distance. I think he could play an important role in the outcome of the Empire. So, maybe I wouldn't kill him off just yet.

What an awesome detail to this amazing story. Shadow Manos's are a great element. Doers, Seers, and Lures. I would like to see more of this in the next books. Jax has got to be the most dynamic of the Shadow Manos even though he has the basic or common shadow. I could definitely eat up more chapters about these guys and their abilities.

I loved Natassa!! She was, in my opinion, a great coming of age character or on the find ones self journey. Loved the inner battles and always striving to do what is right. I think she could easily become the Empress if she chooses to.

Velamir is definitely a hero of the empire if not THE hero. He was once imperial and probably will be the next Emperor haha.

I think there will be a big threat from the Savage Lands. Maybe under the influence of the spy in Verin. Koseerja.
