Good morning! We've got a nice intimate group here to start our talk about becoming an author. Obviously, the first step is to write something :)

I often get asked at signings or talks: I want to write a book, but I don't know where to start. Or...I wrote a book and I'm not sure what to do with it now.

Let's all share where we are in this process. You can simply be a reader, curious about the process from that perspective. Or someone who's thought about writing for a long time. Or perhaps you have an idea for a novel and want to get some direction.

Don't be shy! Let's get the conversation started. I am so excited to be able to share my experience and advice :)
