Thanks for organizing it, Fiona! It was nice to have a challenge that was fairly easy to participate in and easy to find matching books.
Completion Post:Book: A Box Full of Darkness
Author: Simone St. James
Date Completed: Oct. 3
Task Number + Description: 60. Read a book that is dark and moody
How it fits: MC moves back to her hometown, into her abandoned childhood home. Lots of strange, spooky things happen, especially at night. (Also, Darkness in title)
I thought about trying to use this book for a few of the tasks, but I was worried about running out of time. The hardcover version I have seen doesn't have color themed titles for each chapter, but I think it used different colored fonts, page edging. I don't own it, but I remember almost buying it because it was such a unique book.
Completion Post: Book: Drop Dead Sisters
Author: Amelia Diane Coombs
Date Completed: Sept. 23
Task Number + Description: 6. Read a book with an orange cover.
How it fits:
Completion Post:Book: The Rainfall Market
Author: You Yeong-Gwang
Date Completed: Sept. 22
Task Number + Description: 84. Read a book that made you feel reflective.
How it fits: A girl goes on a quest for what will make her truly happy. Several of things she encounters had me thinking about what brings me happiness, what I would change if I could, etc.
This doesn't relate to the assigned task, but can I just say how beautiful this cover is:
Completion Post:Book: For Duck's Sake: Meg Langslow Mysteries, Book 37
Author: Donna Andrews
Date Completed: Sept. 16
Task Number + Description: 64. Read a book that feels cozy.
How it fits: This cozy mystery was almost too cozy for my taste. (At one point, I read the word Tarnation!) And there were lots and lots of animals. 😂
Completion Post: Book: Vera Wong's Guide to Snooping On a Dead Man
Author: Jesse Q. Sutanto
Date Completed: Sept. 15
Task Number + Description: 1. Read a book with a red cover.
How it fits:
Richard wrote: "Sorry about this...I'm really not going well mentally, I have a lot less energy capacity at the moment, & can't focus on reading much anymore.I won't be about to participate any more in this chal..."
Sorry to hear this, Richard. I admire that you are doing what you need to do to take care of yourself. You deserve it. The GR challenges will still be here if you are feeling up to it later. In the meantime, I'm wishing you peace.
Completion post:Book: The Mysterious Case of the Missing Crime Writer
Author: Ragnar Jónasson
Date Completed: Sept. 11
Task Number + Description: 83. Read a book that made your heart race.

It better be the Cheese song! ;-)"
Maybe one of these?
Days of Wine and Roquefort
You Feta Watch Out
Thanks, Fiona. I would like to claim:83.
The book I chose as "cozy" fits this category much better. I'll still read something cozy, but I think I need to pick a new one. Don't worry. I have lots. :)
Completion Post:Book: A Case of Mice and Murder

I knew you would pick #96!
I just finished my first book for the color/mood challenge. If I want to claim another task, should I edit my original "claim" post? Or would you prefer a new post down below with the completions?
Trying again...I saw that 14 was claimed already. 🤦I'll claim:
1.
2.
6. Read a book with an orange cover.
60. Read a book that's dark and moody.
64.
