I liked One of Us is Lying when I read it but I do think it has problematic elements. Personally, I prefer the second one and it’s way better in my opinion! Definitely give it a try if you love Pretty Little Liars type of reads!
I loved this one!! I thought it was captivating and heartbreaking. I also loved the romance! I would say you should try it! It’s hyped for a reason.
I just heard that today from my friend and yea it has definitely put me off from trying her books. I wouldn’t want to support that personally.
They Both Die at the End is one of my favorite books of all time! I just think it’s so heart wrenching but also bittersweet. It connected with me on an emotional level. I still haven’t read the prequel but I do want to. I think you should at least read They Both Die at the End as it is a very fast read!
One of my friends is ok with it but my other friend does love it and think they are really fun mysteries! I think it’s worth it to give it a try!
I just finished reading it and it was amazing!! So many plot twists and everything was constructed very well. It’s a good twist on the Arthurian retelling and also discusses the topic of grief well. I highly recommend it!!
Omg I love this series! I haven’t yet finished it yet but the first one blew me away! I think it’s totally worth it!
I read the first one and I thought it was fine. I didn’t hate it but I wasn’t absolutely in love with it. Although I hear the second book is the best one, I’m still intimidated to read it because I feel like I won’t like it as much. If you don’t like the second one, then it doesn’t get any better apparently. Personally, I like Throne of Glass more than ACOTAR which is an unpopular opinion but I think Throne of Glass is more fun.
I’m hesitant to pick it up because the synopsis sounds boring compared to her other books. I wanted to see what others thought about it.
I liked the first book well enough but I’m not crazy about it. I do get why it’s popular. I still have to continue the series though.
I think you should. They do kinda spoil it in the books but my friends have read it without it and it’s still ok. But if you really want to read Shadow and Bone, I would suggest reading it first.
I’ve been wanting to read it but I’m also intimidated by the hype and I’m afraid it will be standard YA dystopian fantasy.
I personally don't want to read this because nature books aren't my thing but more importantly, the author is very problematic like her and her husband has been accused of murder and the book kinda follows that. It's just really weird. There should be an article about it but yea I feel wrong trying to read this book so just make sure to keep yourself informed.
My friend loves this book but she can say that it is mostly due to nostalgia since she read it in high school and it was one of her first books by her. But other than that, I wouldn't really know because I've never read her books and probably never will.
I also had the same inquiry because I think this is the only book I have on my TBR that is from her. I took everything else out because I do not think I will ever read it but people say it's good. I still want to try it because people either love it or hate it and I rather read this one than her mainly romance ones.

The romance is VERY sub-plot, contrary to what people tend to promote when talkin..."I do really like this series but I agree with Elea that this isn't really about the romance. For me, I read more about the political intrigue of the Faerie court. And yea Cardan is an asshole to her but Jude doesn't like him either. The romance isn't really central until the second one. I would say to give it a try.
Definitely think this is worth the read! My friends who aren't big fantasy readers found this easy to digest and intriguing. Also I love all the characters!
