The Cult of The Trinity - 'Wicca'Miela the Mother Goddess has been attributed to a deity of an old religion of another land. As the Earth, Sea and Moon, this goddess was consort to a God, who ruled as the god of the Sun, Nature/Wildife, and Underworld; thus each ruling over a Heavenly Sphere, the Land and the Afterlife - with the Sea being a gateway into the Underworld.
This God was often depicted as half man, half animal, with golden horns and a crown of branches, depending on the season. The Goddess and the God 'aged' in numberous ways: The Goddess was the Moon and it's cycle throughout a month, the God was the Sun and it's cycle throughout a day, and together they aged over the Earth's cycle throughout a year.
Waxing Moon - Light Maiden
Full Moon - Mother
Waning Moon - Dark Maiden or Crone
Dark Moon - Crone or Corpse
Sunrise - Young Lord/New Born Sun
Morning - Young Lord/Adolescence
Noon - Horned One/Green Man
Afternoon - Father
Sunset - Anceint One
The Goddess Three
The triple goddess means one Goddess with three aspects that correspond with the phases of the moon. The waxing, full, and waning moons. The three aspects are the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone. The new moon is not accounted for however. Some merge the Crone, or waning moon, in with the New Moon, and some believe there is a fourth dark and unseen Goddess.
Maiden: Represents the Waxing Moon phase. She stands for childhood, adolescence, beginnings, purity, virginity, independence, and courage.
Mother: Represents the Full Moon phase. She stands for motherhood, protection, fertility, growth, and sexuality.
Crone: Represents the Waning Moon phase. She stands for old age, wisdom, change, transformation, death, rebirth, and banishing.
The Horned God
The God aspect of Wicca is known as the Horned God. Like the Goddess with her three personas, the God has two main figures. The first is the Sun-God which coincides with the sabbats and seasons, much like the triple goddess with the lunar changes.
The story of the Sun God begins on Yule when he is reborn every year, bringing the beginning reign of light again.
At Imbolc he continues to grow with the days, growing longer in length. He begins coming into his full youth while the Goddess is too in her Maiden aspect.
Together they grow until Ostara. The God is now a young man and takes the Goddess as his bride.
On Beltane their marriage is consummated with a joyous celebration.
On Litha the Sun God reaches his peak of life with the Summer Solstice. The Goddess is now in her Mother aspect.
On Lammas he dies, remembering that through all death is life.
On Mabon, he is mourned by the Goddess, now heading into her Crone stage. He resides in her womb, awaiting Summerland.
At Samnhain he returns to Summerland and awaits rebirth. There he waits, growing younger until he is reborn again at Yule. The Goddess is now fully in her Crone form.
Oak King Vs. Holly King.
The second persona of the Horned God lies with the two dual personalities that represent summer and winter, light and dark. The 'Twins' battle twice, on the two Solstices.
The Oak King reigns from Midwinter to Midsummer. Like the Oak tree, strong and dominant, he represents light, growth, strength, and longevity.
The Holly King defeats his light twin on Litha, leading the days back into darkness. Like the dark season, he represents rest and patience. The holly tree is somewhat of a sign of hope during the cold winter, much like the Holly King. The green leaves, and red glowing berries stand against the dead fruitless trees. On Yule again, the Oak King takes his reign.
Crowns of a God
When the god is firstborn at Yule, he is nude, and pure spirit, He is given the crown of Holly, but doesn't wear it - it is placed beside him so that he will not know the prick of death too soon. He then wanders out into the world, gathering leaves and twigs becoming the Greenman, and gives life to the womb of the goddess, at Ostara when he is crowned with Ivy...his horns growing all the while. When Litha hits, his crown is wilted, and he is given the crown of roses, that first touch of blood causes his green garments to wilt, and by Lammas, he must dress in skins to continue on. He is then the Horned one, heading to his death at Mabon and transition to the Otherworld at Samhain. When he passes over, his body falls to the ground becoming the dirt that fertilizes the great oak tree that shelters the Mother as she heads into her labor at Yule. Thus he is crowned with Oakleaves.
The Goddess receives three Crowns, a circlet, a crown of roses and a crown of candles; each for her three aspects.

Manifestation of the Entities:
The Eight Deities have been followed throughout the history of the realm, their stories told and their figures worshiped for centuries. They have not always appeared to the people of Summerland in these forms however. In the beginning there remained one entity, Miela the Mother God. When the original founders of the Summerlands waged battles against each other for the right to worship the Mother God, Miela knew she must act in order to save the innocent. And so she split herself into eight deities. Each God taking their own place amongst the Summerlands, being worshiped by individuals and groups alike.
Individual Deities:
Eira - Formed from Miela's love for the world around her Eira became the Goddess of Nature and Springtime. For those that have seen her physical form Eira appears to people as a white swan with a golden bill. It is said that Miela made her first as the nature of the Summerlands had needs beyond those of the people. The worship of Eira has since increased with the presence of the everlasting winter, many people pray to her for summer and springtime once again.
Mecrios- Made from the heart of Miela, Mecrios is the god of Mercy and Justice, he seeks to find cause and reasoning in the Summerlands. Many courthouses and judges have shrines to Mecrios and many carry talismans of the god with the hope it will bring them luck in war or travels. The worship of Mecrios is carried out mainly by those who seek mercy and who seek justice for something they have not done. Often worshiped by the innocent as opposed to the guilty, Mecrios appears as a young man who always carries a scroll.
Cronos- The God of War, Cronos was made from Miela's very own sword. He appears as a warrior with a blade of fire and seeks to wage war amongst the lands. Despite her hate for conflict Miela created Cronos in order to bring peace to the land through acts of war. His worship is widely dispersed between soldiers and arms men alike, with many asking for blessings from Cronos before going to fight. He is said to bring luck to those who truly need it when on the field of Battle.
Feyaa- Made from Miela's beauty, Feyaa appears as a young beautiful woman in a robe of silk and lace. She is worshiped mainly by the young women of the Summerlands who seek to find husbands or princes to marry. Feyaa is a good goddess and receives very little dispute amongst the land unlike some of the other gods. Many people will be wed in Feyaa's temples and those looking to meet a partner in the world will often carry amulets or talismans that hold special significance to this god. Miela created Feyaa so they beauty would always exist in the world.
Lucosto- This God appears to people in the form of an owl, he wise beyond his years with knowledge that stretches for eons. Formed from Miela's very own mind and age old intelligence Lucosto is the god of knowledge and wisdom. His worship is widely carried out in schools and colleges where students seek guidance and help in their work. Lucosto was created so that knowledge would never leave the Summerlands. He is not a vengeful god and seeks to help people where he can. His worship has helped many people to gain wisdom and knowledge in the Summerlands.
Amia- The Goddess of Fertility was born from Miela in order to extend the youth and children among the realm. She is a beautiful goddess, appearing as a young woman who carries a wreath of nettles, said to help promote fertility. Amia is worshiped by those wishing to conceive and by many who pray for the gender of their children. She is a kind god and is most closely linked with Eira, the two are blood sisters of sorts though of course all gods came from the origin.
Thyuen- Worshipped by those who seek to make good business and have a worthy commerce, Thyuen is the God of Work and Manufacture. He appears as a young man, holding two scales to balance them, this is the figure which is often worshiped. His shrines and statues will usually be seen in company buildings but also in small shops where workers look to Thyuen for motivation. He is not always a kind god though and often takes amusement in watching businesses fail, those who worship him tend to be very generous with their gifts and prayers.
Heirten- The God of Life and Death Heirten's input into the Summerlands is crucial, despite her uneasiness about creating Heirten, Miela eventually made the God of Life and Death from her own breath. Heirten appears as a ghostly figure of a young man, his features are not unattractive but not attractive either and he is said to appear in the last breaths of the dying. Heirten is not widely worshiped in the Summerlands, aside from those wanting to live longer or to contact lost love ones. He is not vengeful but he is not kind either and though his worship is carried out he rarely answers to peoples prayers.
