12161 I must admit I have been listening to both the Kate Daniels series and the Innkeeper series on graphic audio and I am soo hooked!

12161 This was the first year I have looked at the Goodreads Choice Awards and realized most of the books listed are not ones that I have read and honestly had little interest in based on the description.

I am curious to hear what books published in 2022 have you read that you think should be on the list?

Also curious if folks have recommendations from the choice awards.

12161 I am fairly sure Amanda Ronconi is one of my favorite narrators, at any rate I was stalking her work on audible and came across a new author - well new to me Danielle Garrett and I have been enjoying all of her witch series if you are looking for a light read or audio book I would recommend the Beechwood Harbor Magic Mysteries. The first one was just ok but I liked all the rest.

12161 Has anyone else finished this one?

I will say the book is sweet and honestly I really loved the yesterday stories the today was ok.n Most important she stayed true to the characters it read really naturally if that makes sense.

Loved the insight into the backstories. I really loved seeing a younger Raphel and Nassir.

I will say as the book ended I was left thinking about when was the last time I read a book where men have a deep connection which is not sexual so many stories in UF are female-dominated so

12161 Will this be the end of the series because now all of the seven are in a relationship I think...

12161 Oh here is the blurb and cover

Nalini Singh returns to the world of the Guild Hunters for the most highly anticipated novel of the beloved series—a love story so epic it’s been half a millennia in the making…

Illium and Aodhan. Aodhan and Illium. For centuries they’ve been inseparable: the best of friends, closer than brothers, companions of the heart. But that was before—before darkness befell Aodhan and shattered him, body, mind, and soul. Now, at long last, Aodhan is healing, but his new-found strength and independence may come at a devastating cost—his relationship with Illium.

As they serve side by side in China, a territory yet marked by the evil of its former archangel, the secret it holds nightmarish beyond imagining, things come to an explosive decision point. Illium and Aodhan must either walk away from the relationship that has defined them—or step forward into a future that promises a bond infinitely precious in the life of an immortal…but that demands a terrifying vulnerability from two badly bruised hearts.

12161 Looks like the next Guild Hunter book in one the way. Curious to see what people think of Aodhan and Illium? As it seems they will be the leading couple, I am not sure how I feel about it on the one hand they have a beautiful bond and long ago I thought maybe a relationship but now it almost feels a little forced.

The cover is fantastic though!

Thoughts anyone?

12161 Angie, I know the feeling and it is great right :-)
For what it is worth the Argeneau series I find I can only read a few at a time because they get a bit formulaic and I do not enjoy them as much as when I space them out.

Thanks for the tip about Lexi Blake I have not read that one.

I had the same problem when I started the third book at some point I think I will go back and reread them in closer order. I like Sarah Maas writing style.

12161 I finished Blood Heir by Ilona Andrews very cool to see this go from a short story to a full on book. It was cute to see Curan and Kate's kid. If there is another spin off I would love to know what happened to Derrick
DId anyone else read it what did you think

12161 I read A Discovery of Witches and it was this slow-moving beautifully told story. I doubt I will watch the show because I liked how I worked things out...not watching a movie or a show after reading a book is a thing with me.

You know I think I still have one book to read in the trilogy YAY something to look forward to.
