Hi Rina, thanks for the suggestions! Maybe later this month I can send out a poll and ask everyone whether they would prefer to continue reading Jane Eyre for all of April, or if they would prefer to read another short book for April too, since I guess it just depends how everyone goes with it.And a topic for buddy reads is a great idea, I will make one now!
hi everyone, my apologies for being late to organise this month's read, if you have any suggestions post them here!
I haven't been able to start yet, there was a shipping issue and so my book still hasn't arrived, hopefully it will be arriving tomorrow though😭
the valentine's theme is a great idea! and also, like last time, please second any suggestions you agree with so we can narrow it down to just a few options for the poll
Hi everyone! I wanted to say thank you very much for over 100 members in this group! I never expected the group to grow this much, but I am so happy I get to discuss classics with so many great people. Thank you to everyone who joined, and I hope you all enjoy this group as much as I do!
Cari wrote: "But I don't have that exact edition. Is that okay?"so glad you're able to join! yes, that's fine, any edition is ok!

my book also hasn't arrived 😭
and feel free to start whenever you like, there isn't a schedule or anything, just read at your own pace :)
liz wrote: "b&n and are we allowed to dnf it? in case we couldn't get into it?"yes of course! there's no pressure to participate if you don't want to/aren't able to :)
i'm reading the 'haunted library' edition, which i believe is translated by Alexander Teixeira de Mattos. i've never heard of that edition before so it'll be interesting to see what it's like
My reading goal for 2024 will be to read 50 books. That was my goal this year too, but I only made it to 30. I hope you can all achieve your goals!
The poll to decide on next month's book has been created, and so nominations are now closed! Thank you to everyone who suggested a book!

I hope you enjoy :)
