I tried to look this up, but can't find any articles about this. I'll admit, though, that I've just had a minor surgery and a little stoned on pain meds, though. So that doesn't help.

I live in Central Ontario, Canada. A driving trip there from here would probably be somewhere between 8 - ten hours.

This is terrible news! Thanks for sharing it, Gary. I want to visit the Poe house, and now know that I have a time limit to do so, which is a great motivator.

Otherwise, I think this decision is a disaster of literary history. I hope some resolution comes and that the Poe house, along with his grave, can be saved.
