I've got A Night in the Lonesome OctoberSoulless, steampunk with vampires and werewolves
An Unattractive Vampire, a vampire satire
Coraline, which I know nothing about, but it looks creepy
I recently started American Phoenix: Heroes of the Pentagon on 9/11 about the Pentagon attack on 9/11.
For January, pick a book with an EXTREME SETTING, or at least something distinct. It can be climate-related: desert, ice, jungle, space, ocean, etc. Or it can be human-related like a prison. What are your ideas?
My favorites wereAge of Empyre
Home Before Dark
The Only Plane in the Sky: An Oral History of 9/11
Woven
The Thousand Deaths of Ardor Benn
The Wendy
Several of these were rather obscure but so good.
Our library is opening up for curbside holds pickup. I'm excited. Our quarantine was all voluntary from the start. Nobody got arrested for being out. Restaurants did pick-up only for a while; mostly just government offices closed down.I finished my dragon book.
Andrea wrote: "I got recommended Leviathan Wakes by a friend here on Goodreads. Been waiting for an excuse to pick it up."I didn't really like that, either, but I am alone in that experience. I really hope you enjoy it.
