My dad is like that too unfortunately. And yeah, it is not exactly like the real thing. I say, practice the church you wanna go to's teachings. Show him that your really dedicated to it

That is such a selfish thing for your father to do :/ Like yes, if you believe your particular branch of the church is correct, you will invite people, but if they say no, don't push it? Respect it. Maybe ask again in a few weeks? My church offers zoom meetings AND in person, does the one you want to offer the same? Because you still might be able to attend thru online

That makes sense, I wouldn't consider myself a baby christian, as I literally have been going to church since I was born, but I have definitely payed more attention and actually felt prompted to learn more than just as another chore to get done with.

(This is the book of Mormon, so I understand that not a bunch/If not any have read it since it is unique to the LDS church)

I just taught a lesson on 2 Nephi, chapters 31-33, and what I got from it is to Never give up on the Lord's plan, focusing on thinking celestial can help you hear God/The Holy Ghost easier, and to help others who are straying from the path of God <33
