1242511 I needed a fall book and this one is delivering. I wanted something that was giving romance, fall, rom com, cozy vibe and so far this is hitting perfectly. I am a little bit over half way done with the book on my NEW KINDLE thanks to my husband! and I cannot put this book down!

I love Jenna. The only issue I have is that she keeps telling herself she won't fall for this man right after she is like "he is sooo dreamy". Girl you have feelings for him, just give a shot, you don't know what is gonna happen. I will say with her track record tho, I understand the hesitation so it's okay.

Aiden needs serious help, and some therapy. I know he said he has gone to therapy, but he needs to try again. He is one of those people who genuinely do not care about others and therefore never learned to interact with others. He does not ask follow up questions, I does not ask open ended questions, and he give such short answers that people would think he doesn't have to talk at all. I think he has the tism. And I am not saying it like it is a bad thing, I love him, but there's a clear social disconnection for him.

So far the book is going super good and I love them together. Can't wait to read more.

1242511 I have been wanting to read this book for a while, and although I clearly have other books I have started and should finish first, I decided to start this one today. I am on page 14, the love interests have already met and I am loving their banter. I don't know if I will have a lot of time to read today, but I am very excited for this one.

1242511 My husband and I had a little date at Barnes and Noble where we picked out a book and then went to the café to get a sandwich and spent about 2 hours reading and talking. This is the book I started and I wanted to continue it after. I am about 16% into this book. This doesn't feel like a book I will have a lot to say about it, but maybe I'll be proven wrong. So far I love the main character and I feel flor her. I am excite to see what life has in store for her. Her showing up to the school and being an entitled bitch made me laugh tho. I do feel bad for her replacement, she is just doing her best.

1242511 So I finished this book this morning and I loved it. When you click the reviews ( at least when I did) there was soooo many reviews giving it 1 or 2 stars and I do not agree with them at all. Alot of people are mad that when she comes to terms with her infertility issues, she is actually pregnant. The author's notes tell you that she based the medical conditions and dialog around it from a real life person and what happened to her.

This book made me cry and sad and all the emotions tbh

1242511 I am not going to write what just happened, but something similar happened to my cousin and I am not okay. I was listening while working and it is taking every last drop not to break down right now. The way I knew something like this was going to happen, but my brain said "this is a romance novel, its gonna be fine". I literally cannot move right now and I am writing this to keep me together.

1242511 Bro, I'm not going to lie, I hate this girl. I don't actually hate her, but she is pissing me off. I am at 61% and for someone who says they hate lying and are super blunt, she he holding back a lot of the truth. She told Tyler no, to his proposal, Tyler asked her to think about it. When Josh asked her what her answer was, she told him she said maybe. girl no you didn't, you said no. Then, you go out with josh and in your drunken state, you clearly are in love with him, but you decide because he wants kids you can't be with him. Girl how about you tell him what is going on with you so he knows and can tell you what he thinks about it. You would rather live a life you hate than to have a conversation you need to have with this man ??????

1242511 I think for now I am just gonna do one discussion board per book .maybe that would get me to write more about them. Although this book has been on my list for over a year now, it was not on my immediate tbr. That being said, one of my friends posted they started it and of course I put all that I am reading to start this book and exclusively read this book.

I thought I had a physical copy since I love and buy everything Abby Jimenez, but this year I have been trying to exclusively thrift all my books (1, to save money and 2, to save the plant. way too many books go into the landfill and all these second hand stores have soooo many good titles in great conditions. I find books that you can tell no one even read them at the second hand shops and they are usually 1-2 dollars. 3, when I travel, I always thrift at least 2-3 books, they are easy to carry, I typically can put them in my jacket pocket, and get more use out of it than a random trinket. my husband and are slowly but surely growing our own private library). After searching my shelves like 5 times, I do not have a copy, but the audiobook was available on hoopla ( like a libby) so I decided to listen to it. I know all my intros is me just yapping, but that probably will never stop.

***SPOILERS AFTER THIS POINT***

All this to say I am loving this book!!!! I am like half way in. Unless something crazy happens, this is def a 5 star read idc idc Abby does not deserve anything less. I love their dynamic. I also have a love/hate relationship with miscommunication troupe. If I see a book has it, I will always read it haha, however when I am in the mist of it, I HATE IT. (idk why it posted, I'm not done. I guess the rest will show up as an edit) Idk how many times I have yelled at Kristen to just tell him already, but her reasonings are valid and so I'm not too mad at it right now. I love how Josh is being so patient with her. He is a man who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to wait for it.

My thing is, why is she tripping so much about the fact that he wants kids the old fashion way? To be in a relationship is to be able to compromise. They both want want children and they can always IVF or get a surrogate. She clearly comes form money and if she doesn't want to use her family's money, she has a successful business which Josh commented that from that business she makes a minimum of twice his salary. They can save up and plan their children and talk about how much realistically they can have. maybe not 5 kids like he said, but maybe they can have 3 or 2. maybe the first pregnancy is twins or triplets. they don't know until they tray and I hate that she doesn't even want to talk to him about it, let alone try. Other than that, they are literally a perfect match in every other way. That is for sure her person.

I also love the fact that he was down to TP his best friend's house and then clean it up the next day. That whole scene was so freaking cute I cannot. This book would make suchhhhh a great movie. Like this book is the perfect setting for a GREAT rom com. I love even more that when she confessed to her best friend, she already knew. That girl knows how much pranking her brings her joy and just lets it happen. They are all perfect for each other.

The fucking Ice Queen can suck a spoiled melon. His response and reactions were all so perfect tho. Every girl deserves aa man that will stand up for her and not allow anyone to talk to her like that.

I will say, I paused the book when Tyler shows up, but I'm about to keep listening so you might get an update in a hour or so hahahaha

1242511 -Tbh I imagine that every therapist study’s phycology for the same reason, they think something is wrong with them and trying ti figure out why

-is he like obsessed with her spending years training so he can be her therapist ??? I feel like he has too much interest in this girl and the fact they hired him… is it because he is a psychopath and said all the right thing ??

-I’m not a mystery or thriller type girly like that but I’m into this. It’s like the exact kind of mystery that I like so far. I’ll let you know if it’d trade soon enough.

-what if the book’s last line is her first time talking. That would be crazy.

-I’ve been reading some and listening to some and tbh his accent is yummy. I think ima just tangent read this shit

-not me knowing the word laborious because of fucking Frankie

-we should get her pov in the book too. That would be cool

-Yuri kinda weird bro

-cheating in your mid thirties is wild. Like bruh have a family and chill already

-I need to go to that green house. Sounds like my freaking dream
-I’m going to assume this long ass backstory about Kathy has a purpose

1242511 I DNF this book. I'll think about if I finish it later or not
May 06, 2025 01:04PM

1242511 We(as in my friends and I, but anyone can join in on the discussion) are starting the silent patient today and are reading part one by May 10th. This discussion board and the others for this one will be completely full of spoilers and discussion. I might make one at the end of this that is just all final thoughts so I can have an overall discussion a well as a portion one.
May 06, 2025 01:00PM

1242511 I have not been posting in here as much as I would like. I Have been trying to figure out how I would like to structure the folders in a way it makes sense. I think What I will be doing for now is just putting everything I read under "2025 Reads" until I find a way that I am happy with.

Something that I have been doing is creating shelves for different mood reads since I am the biggest mood reader I know, I thought it was only fitting. I do not rate books off of the plot holes or writing style, as long as your writing style flowed well, the story kept me engaged (which is not hard) and the ending makes sense for the type of story, I am sold, five stars.

That being said, this whole series is a must read for me. I have been eating this series up since my brother's girl bought me the cinnamon bun bookstore and told me she thinks I would like this series. Boy was she CORRECT. This series is finger licking good. The only thing I don't like about audiobooks is when I write these reviews, I don't have the book to skim through and talk about everything. This is gonna all be based off memory I guess.

***SPOILERS AFTER THIS POINT***

You will always have my heart on a single dad troupe who is a grumpy man but mushy when it comes to his kid that is exactly who Archer is. He didn't even know he had a kid and from day one he is doing everything he possibly can to be there for her. That is the most respectable thing any person can do and from that moment forward I decided that he should only get good things in this world and he found a good thing.

I can relate a lot with Iris. I am around the same age, I am broke, I am trying to figure my shit out without having a normal career path and it is hard, but it is worth every sacrifice to be able to live the life you see fit for yourself. I would rather be broke than to hate my life every single day and that's how I felt at my old job.

Is this a book full of substance, no. This is not the book you read when you want a crazy plot line and you want to be surprised at the end. This is the book you read when you wanna disconnect your brain and kick your feet with a smile that won't go away. This book was so cute and it was def love at first lust type shit.

Olive is such a cute little girl, but def a flight risk through this whole book. I also love that Archer cannot let go of his fine dining chef style and insist to make pancakes from scratch with all the fancy shit and the town absolutely hated it. I also love how vocal this town is even though they do get annoying, but you learn to love them.

1242511 Bro, The way in the last two weeks I have become a Cara Bastone FANGIRLIE is crazyyyyyy. I know I haven't been posting, but she has a bunch of audible novellas (i think that's what the book girlies call it) and I ate all of them up. I will write about those soon. If I am not mistaken, she has 5 of them. They are each like 5-6 hours long but they are soooooo good. When I finished them I needed more of her so I got this book and let me tell you, It did not disappoint.

This is my first pregnancy troupe book and was spectacular, give me 14 of them right now. I also didn't help that I was ovulating while reading this and Cara only writes perfect men in her stories. This book starts off with a girl finding out she is pregnant from a one night stand. Not to spoil it too much but its basically her journey through the pregnancy, her finding love, her finally making decisions for herself and going after what she wants, and her better understanding the relationships around her.

One thing I will say, Ethan is a fucking idiot lmao, chep is literally perfection, Eve def needed to grow up a bit and she did and her best friend is so self centered I feel like her brother took all the empathy gene

1242511 I didn't even finish this audio and I already downloaded all of her works. This audio was soooo freaking good. It's like one of those descriptive audiobooks. What I have most about this is you can really get sucked into it. Like you feel like you're watching a movie. I was on a road trip and the way I spaced out and just emersed into this book, I could clearly see every single scene in my head and honestly I was more into this audiobook than most movies.

So this book is basically about a shy, anxious English teacher who gets drawn through a wormhole and is stuck 85 years in the future. For some reason, her cellphone from the pass starts working and autodials this number, a number she didn't have in her phone before. The number was for the gym teacher at the school she worked at 4 weeks before she gets sucked through the wormhole. She convinces him to help her out by talking to pass her, befriend her and then prevent her from getting sucked through.

Through this journey they get to know each other and then start falling in love with each other in the cutest way. This is def something you can see and feel unfold and I loved every second of it. I am already almost done with the next one

1242511 Okay. I will say the book club finished this book, but I have not yet. This is def going on to my come back to it later.

This book is a dark romance which I don't mind, but I do feel like the sex scenes are super long. I am on chapter 20 and I'll come back to it soon. If you haven't read this cook, the rest that I am writing are spoilers.

The plot of the book I do like, the brother is super freaking annoying and loves shoving his nose where it does not belong.

Aspen, I love her, but she def over thinks way too much. Like bro you like him and he is clearly into you, so stop overthinking every last step.

Also, I don't like Izaac. I did at the beginning. I can get behind having a crush on your brother's best friend and the best friend not saying anything or doing anything. That's normal. I don't like that they fucked and when he realized it was her, he didn't say anything. Like bro, you didn't think she was gonna find out eventually. And let's just say I could get behind him not telling her, why the fuck would you fuck her again, knowing she doesn't know who you are but you know who she is. That was the most disgusting part of this whole book. That shit gave me such an ick and that's probably what turned me off to this book tbh. I cannot get passed that. That was such an invasion that I felt gross.

The best friend, I fucking love her and tbh Aspen should of told her what happened, I know she would of fucked Izaac up like he deserved.

Hi DeeDee! Welcome to the group! 😊 I love how eclectic your background is, you must have some amazing stories to tell!

“Romantistry” is such a fun genre! Sounds like you’ve already read some great ones. If you're looking for more, I’d suggest trying The Bridge Kingdom by Danielle L. Jensen or Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin. They both have that intense romance mixed with fantasy and will definitely keep you hooked!

As for my TBR, it’s never-ending, but I’ve got quite a mix!

Feel free to drop in anytime with thoughts or recommendations. Can’t wait to chat more about books with you!

1242511 Don't come for me for adding another book I haven't started, but the book club keep reading too fast ( they are now doing a book a week and I can't live this way).Ima be hella honest and say I have no interest in this book but Ima read my chapters tonight.

1242511 This book absolutely gets only one discussion board. My friends and I received an advanced copy at a bookstore called Steamly Lit when they first opened earlier this year. This book had so much potential. We all DNF this book. I do plan to go back and finish it only because I want to know how it ends, but the way everything took a freaking turn I hated it. First of all, Felipe did not have to do a whole 180 and become a psyco. It felt like somethign just snapped in his mind out of nowhere and go off.

La Tia and her relationship, I will accept it for what it was and I liked that the tia warmed up to her.

El tio was bat shit crazy the whole way through. Pero la twin, she def takes the cake.
Aug 13, 2024 08:50AM

1242511 This book I only read while I'm at the gym. I try to get 10k steps a day and I hate the treadmill, but something that helps me a lot is distracting myself while walking. Typically I would crochet and listen to an audiobook or read a book while listening to it or play on my switch. This book I want to read it had been taking me a bit of time.

What I will say is that the way this book is set up, reading the first few chapters, this book reminds me of arcane and now when I picture the book in my head, I don't picture real people I picture they are in a would like arcane.

I personally enjoy fantasy, but I get real bored real quick. With this book, it has kept my attention so I have high hopes on it. The author popping up on my for you page all the time also helps keep me engaged tbh

1242511 I think book I listened to I am not going to break them up in multiple posts. However I 100% want to talk about this book ! this book was giving at every page! also its hella ironic it starts off with her being sexually harassed at work and then ends with her getting together with her new boss. I haven't read others reviews on this book, but i know someone is out there hating this fact and is talking shit. Please comment on this thread is you read this book I absolutely want to talk about it!

One thing that I 100% expected to happen and I still got overly excited when it did, him giving her the dock, That was so cute of him ahhhhhh! I loved that so much. I love that we was always there for her even when they were frienemies.
