Cassie’s comments from the Big Book Summer Reading Challenge 2024 group.

I am happy to report that I completed my big book since completing my Master’s degree! I started this challenge late and was doubting if I would be able to complete it in time. Thank you for this challenge and the quiet push.

I finished Tears of Amber by Sofia Segovia this weekend and gave it 5 stars with 2.5 kleenex. Historical fiction is my new favorite reading category, even if I need a light read between emotionally draining, heavy books. I look forward to reading more by this author in the future.

I'm starting Tears of Amber by Sofia Segovia (495 pages).

Let's give this a try! The last big book I read was a college textbook over a decade ago. It wasn't until last year that I finally returned to my love of reading and now I welcome the escape from the real world. Thank you for the challenge!
