I’ve had a good summer of reading …but was not nearly as good about posting about what I read, or responding to other’s posts when they mentioned a new-to-me book or had an opinion about a book that was different than mine that made me consider trying that book again with a new attitude. Thank you to everyone for sharing…and a huge thank you to Suzan for always responding to posts, cheering all of us on!The Awakening by Nora Roberts

Finished Legendborn by Tracy Deonn, and The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by VE Schwab. Started and completed Icebreaker by Hannah Grace (435 pages) and Iris Kelly Doesn’t Date by Ashley Herring Blake (402 pages).I’m enjoying reading everyone’s posts; as always it causes my TBR to grow 📚!
Finished my first book last night - The Awakening by Nora Roberts (435 pages)…enjoyed it and have put the second in the series on my TBR. It is also over 400 pages so may shuffle my mental list around to include it for this challenge.Started listening to Legendborn today (by Tracy Deonn, 12+ hours , 502 pages); and will start The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by VE Schwab (448 pages) tonight.
A good first week of summer reading!
Starting with The Awakening by Nora Roberts (new to me - for The Book Cougars second quarter read along); then The Secret Life of Addie LaRue by VE Schwab (re-read in memory of Jenny Colvin of Reading Envy). On my “definitely will read these this summer” pile are: As Always, Julia: The Letters of Julia Child and Avis DeVoto (re-read); Legendborn by Tracy Deonn (new to me); and Iris Kelly Doesn’t Date by Ashley Herring Blake (new to me but I’ve read the other two books in the series)
Plenty of other options already checked out of the library, with multiple holds working their way to me…..oh the joy of having so many possibilities to choose from!
It’s finally time to start…yay! I’ve been putting off starting The Awaking by Nora Roberts (the Book Cougars quarterly read along book) until tonight so it would count for Big Book Summer 2024 - I’m ready to dig in and enjoy lots of summer reading! Thanks for hosting this again Sue!
