That book is one of my favorites of this year!

1243066 I just finished The Tainted Cup, by Robert Jackson Bennett. Though the story is only 406 pages, it qualifies! And the story is just terrific. It's a Holmesian mystery set in a fantasy world. It is one of my favorites for this year. A+ - 5 stars!

1243066 I finished my second big book today: Sanctuary, by Nora Roberts. My big, floppy paperback was 435 pages. I loved this book 26 years ago, not so much this time. I was very disappointed, but I have obviously changed as a person, so I have changed as a reader as well. C+ / 3.5 stars

1243066 I will show my ignorance by saying that every time I tried to respond to your question, Suzan, it linked it to a different comment. ??

Anyway, I gave 4 stars to Four Weddings and a Sixpence. It was good for the most part. I waffled between a B and a B-, but I gave credit to the parts I liked the most. :)

1243066 I finished Four Weddings and a Sixpence today. It is an anthology of four stories written by four different authors headlined by Julia Quinn of Bridgerton fame. My trade paperback was 407 pages long.

It was good, for the most part. I rate books the way I grade papers: A-5, B-4, C-3, D-2, F-1.

1243066 I have four books on my list for this summer: Nine Liars, by Maureen Johnson (my daughter will be very happy that I am reading this); Sanctuary, by Nora Roberts (a long ago favorite that I have wanted to reread for months); Four Weddings and a Sixpence (an anthology of four short works headed by Julia Quinn); and The Women, by Kristin Hannah (I have only read The Nightingale by her and loved it). Hopefully, I will be able to read at least three of these!
