I had the pleasure of meeting Diaz and hearing him speak the weekend that Trust was released in May 2022 ..."I won a copy from my library earlier this summer. Although I haven't read it yet, I look forward to your review.
I am going to see if I can fit in one more book before summer's official end. I am considering Madly, Deeply: The Diaries of Alan Rickman
I just finished Up from the Depths: Herman Melville, Lewis Mumford, and Rediscovery in Dark Times It was coming due at the library & I through I'd browse through it. It wound up being pretty interesting. I actually finished it today. A very brief review is posted on Instagram.

At my sister-in-law's urging, my next big book is FOURTH WING by Rebecca Yarros which I'll tackle by audio. Fourth WingThe Book Cougars have alao suggested Fellowship Point which I will dowloaded from the libarary as an ebook.
I have an autographed version of The Frozen River I want to read as my hard copy book. I truly hope I am not biting off more than I can chew this summer. We shall soon see!
THE SHADOW KING is complete. I read a few books in between, but I am pleased to say I finished it. It was a heavy a read dealing with the Second Italo-Ethiopian War. Given the weight of the topic, I needed to take the occassional break. The author admitted this book was a work of fiction. Nevertheless, her depiction of war was detailed and emotional.

Safe travels and congrats on another big read!
I had a mental list going, but then four of my library holds were ready at once. The only "big book" from that pile that qualifies for this challenge is
I am 60+ pages in and really enjoying it. I'm motivated to see what I accomplish this summer.
