(sorry if my english is not completely correct, it isnt my first language)
So I understand that this is how you think about it, and that's okay. If you're against it, don't get an abortion. But that does not mean you can force it on someone else. You don't know the situation they're in. And even if they don't want to have the baby, they should not be forced to keep it. I PROMISE you that every woman who has an abortion, carefully thought it through. it will probably be the hardest decision of their life. people have sympathy, so i promise a mother would not abort their child this easily.
Now, I do agree that it is not the baby's fault. but should we really, like actually, ban abortions when it could get CHILDREN pregnant? children robbed of their childhood? children giving birth to children..?
besides, teenage girls or even younger girls normally have a high risk of not surviving when giving birth as the body is not fully developed (source; national library of medicine). is a baby, more worth than the mother who has friends and family that love her? is that baby, that NO ONE KNOWS, more worth than the future of a young girl that IS known and loved? if you think it is, then I am sorry but I find you selfish.
next to that, it is so obvious that the ban of abortion is not about the babies, but about controlling women's bodies. my father used to say that if men gave birth, abortion would be normalized.
So yes, i agree abortion should in fact NOT be normalized. but in this society it is too dangerous for young girls AND women to not have access to abortion. (this comment is not supposed to look aggressive but just trying to state an opion with good arguments)
