But much better than our post, we link to a post by Andrew Diamond (author of a hilarious book called Warren Lane) who I wish were on this forum, which gives much more detailed information regarding his experience using them.

Yesterday I wrote a blog post called "Are Kindle Ad Campaigns Worth the Investment?" My answer is a tentative yes. I'm spending more on clicks than the royalties being generated, but have sold several dozen books in the month of June since I started my new campaigns. Since I'm trying to get my book out there and read, it's worth it for now. Amazon recently made a couple of helpful tweaks to the program, which I explain in the post. One key is to experiment with several different campaigns at once. Since you pay by the click, there's no downside to this approach.
