I tend to write as I speak, and that gets me into trouble sometimes. I once applied for a finance position with the outrageous introductory line of 'How's it going luvie?" I was 19 at the time and old enough to know better! Unbelievably I got the job, but I think that was more to do with my youth than my ability.
Anyroad; nice to meet you!

Hey there! Nice to meet you :-)
Hey Andrea and Fran, and everybody else! I am a relatively new writer in a relatively middle-aged body (mores the pity). Well-chuffed to be a moderator in this group! I don't think I have ever moderated anything before! Sounds like fun!Anyroad ( and I know that's not correct English, but you gotta kickback and chill sometimes) my name is Maria Bradley and I have written 3 young adult novels since I started living the sentence dream and shimmying the chapter shuffle.
I'm honoured to be part of IndieYAbooks.com, and this Goodreads group, and I'm sitting here with my cuppa in hand, waiting patiently for you to arrive and say hallo! See you soon! :-)
Okay people, have you ever wondered why you enjoy certain genres of books more than others? What does it say about you?If you love murder mystery's as opposed to romantic novels does that mean you are more of a logical thinker, and less prone to impulsive leaps of faith?
If you love fantasy novels does that make you more imaginative than someone who prefers real-life true stories?
What if you enjoy young adult books when that time in your life has long passed, does that mean you are young at heart, or clinging to your youth in some sort of mid-life crisis?
Oooh, this is a meaty subject, and we want to know what you think!
Tell us of your Harry Potter obsession even though you have teenage grandchildren of your own!
Perhaps you are 12 years old and enjoy your mums Catherine Cookson novels. Maybe you love complicated sci-fi, while your brothers love chick-lit?
We're Looking forward to your intriguing and and revealing replies!
