For days, Kara sat in her small cell. She rarely saw the man other than to give her some meager rations, and she was desperate for socialization. She began scratching notes into the walls with a rusty nail she found on the floor to keep her from being bored. Kara somehow managed to keep time. It was October 4th. She’d been in the cell six days.
Kara looked up at the man with a steely gaze. “Are you gonna let me out?” The shackles rubbed against her wrists, making them raw. It wasn’t the worst discomfort she’d faced, but she’d prefer being pain-free. The man glanced back at her carelessly, the same smug grin on his face. “Nah,” he replied. “I’ve still got use for you yet.”
Kara couldn’t believe it. She had never seen this man before. She looked into his eyes, icy and full of wrath, and wondered who this man might be. And then, she felt the slightest flicker of recognition. This man, the one with a slight smirk permanently on his face, she’d met him before. But when?
And that’s when the man she least wanted to see at the moment strolled in without a care in the world. He had the ever-so-slight hint of a smirk on his face that made him seem superior to everyone else. He looked at Kara and said, “See, you took everything away from me, and I have done the same to you.”
Before she could open her mouth to scream, a needle was injected into her arm. Blackness swirled in her mind, and the last thing she could picture was the man laughing
@Loubean for a lot of Christians who believe in the Bible, we believe that God created marriage to be between one man and one woman. Why would we change who God beautifully crafted us to be? I don’t want to get into a debate abt it, but feel free to dm me or talk with someone abt it!
The man laughed ruefully. “I think you know EXACTLY what we’re here for.” Kara was slightly irritated that he ignored her first demand entirely. She was losing ground by the second. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” But she already knew that there wasn’t any hope of escape. The man replied…
A man whose face was covered by a mask. He was standing in the corner of the room ominously. Kara tried her best not to make eye contact, but she could feel his gaze burning into her nevertheless. No escaping from my fate now, she thought to herself. Gathering her courage, she said with what you could call a wobbly voice…
Blood drained from her face when she realized what had happened. Weighing her options, Kara thoroughly considered the idea of falling back asleep on the metal table she lay on.
