I’ve read Mount Char and Lovecraft Country but haven’t read The Hollow Places. I’ve seen Tender is the Flesh mentioned a lot on Instagram and here on GoodReads and I’m curious about that one. I started We’ve Always Live In the Castle in the past but never finished it and I’ve heard that’s a good one. I’m definitely down for some good horror recommendations.
I read a ton of sci-fi and fantasy so a big part of me would love to branch out but if either of those are something the group wants I can do that too.
Hey All - I got a recommendation for doing a monthly book poll to vote on the book we could read and discuss for the next month, does this sound interesting to anyone else? If so, I'd love some recommendations for some first books we can vote on to read.
Ignore me- I’m still learning this app and didn’t see the challenge. The Library at Mount Char is a solid read.
The Devils by Joe Abercrombie is great. Mexican gothic was also a solid read as was The Gone World. If you like vampires, given the time of year, NOS4A2 by Joe Hill was good and different. The Last House on Needless street was creepy as was the Library at Mount Char. I’d argue any Grady Hendrix is solid this time of year as well.
